Dr. Md. Khadimul Islam, Florida International University, USA presented the topic on "CST, HFSS, FEKO". And Prof. Dr. Md. Masud Rana, Professor, EEE, RUET introduced the topic of " PSpice".
PSpice stands for Personal (Computer) Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis. It is a tool to design and develop analog circuits and simulate the behavior of a circuit. Using this tool, you will know how your circuit is likely to behave in the real world and when you prepare PCB assembly, it is likely to follow the nearby result of the circuit designed in the PSpice simulator.

Prof. Dr. Md. Masud Rana enlightened us more about this and how we can operate PSpice software.
The last session and the topic were on โ€œExpressPCBโ€. It was held on 10th February in the presence of 50 participants and it was administered by our honorable teacher Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdul Gaffar Khan, Professor, EEE, RUET.

Then the closing ceremony of the "Advanced Softwares for ICT" workshop series, was held on the same day in the presence of special guests- Prof. Dr. Md. Zahurul Islam Sarkar (Dean, Faculty of ECE, RUET), Prof Dr. Muhammad Abdul Goffar Khan (Director, IQAC, RUET), Dr. Md. Faruk Hossain (Director, Research & Extension, RUET), Prof. Dr. Robiul Awal (Director, Student Welfare, RUET), Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmad (Director, IICT, RUET) and the chief guest, Prof. Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam Sheikh, honorable Vice-Chancellor, RUET who gave his valuable speech highlighting the benefits of this type of workshop. In the end, a virtual token of appreciation was provided to every presenter of this workshop.

For manifestations of the thesis topic, the IEEE Computer Society RUET Student Branch Chapter organized a webinar on โ€œLearn from Experts about Thesisโ€ on 21st January 2021 from 10.30 AM to 1:00 PM in association with IEEE RUET Student Branch with technical support of IEEE CS BDC. The lead motive of this program was to give a highlight planning, conducting, reporting, and defending a thesis paper. The event started with about 100 participants at a scheduled time. The program was designed to conduct the opening ceremony, speakerโ€™s talk, Q/A session, and closing ceremony. After welcoming all the speakers and participants, we introduced our first speaker Abdullah-Al Zubaer Imran. He is currently working as a Postdoctoral Scholar in Radiology at Stanford University. He also holds a Visiting Scholar position at the University of California, Los Angeles, from where he earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2020. and lastly the closing ceremony.

Our second speaker was Dr. Shah Muhammad Hamdi. He is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at New Mexico State University. His research centers around data mining, machine learning, and deep learning. Jaydeb Sarkar was our last speaker. He is a second-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at Wayne State University (WSU), Michigan, USA. After finishing the speakerโ€™s presentation, participants asked questions to get suggestions for the better modification of their thesis paper. In the closing ceremony, the IEEE CS RUET Student Branch Chapter advisor Prof. Dr. Md. Al Mamun, Professor, Dept. of CSE, RUET shared his thoughts He supervised the whole event. The participation certificate, the presentation slide used by speakers, and the recording of the whole event will be E-mailed to each registered participant within 7 days.
